What's a Drupal?

You - maybe you're curious about web development, but don't really know where to get started or how to find help.  Maybe you're already done some development and you keep hearing about Drupal.  You have something of an idea as to why open source software is a good thing philosophically, but want to understand better why it's a good thing practically.

This session - the one you should come to first.

This session will be an introduction to all the other session suggestions made so far.  It will cover some of the backstory on Drupal and how it got it's feet under it as an open source project.  The community of Drupal is really the big selling point, but how it can be leveraged to build awesome websites can be difficult to get your head around at first.  Some of the terminology - "modules", "theming", "core", etc. - should be explained so people can get excited and get started.
